Parents, please note, your volunteer hours will be monitored by the class
coordinators this year. We have been
asked to keep accurate notes of who actually fulfills their responsibilities as
TA and credit will be given at the end of the year. The responsibilities of the TA are to make
copies of materials for the class, to assist students when they are practicing
characters, to assist the teacher in class and to make sure the room is clean
at the end of class (i.e., no traces of Chinese on blackboards, desks returned
to original position, no debris on floor).
Please also enforce the no eating or drinking (except water) rule in
the classroom. *You can only earn a
total of ten service hours as a TA. You
must volunteer for other activities, events or duties for the other ten or else
you will have to pay $10 per service point when you register next year.
